Identity Engineer

OneDosh is a rapidly-growing fintech on a mission to make money move as freely as
humans. Launched in December 2025, OneDosh is helping >100K users send, convert, and
spend their money across the US and Nigeria, with plans to expand across Europe and
Africa later this year.

We are searching for a high-agency, technically brilliant engineer to build an identity
verification startup within a startup. You will have complete ownership of OneDosh’s
identity product and the expectation to rebuild it from the ground up. You will be solely
responsible for maximizing throughput of real human users at minimal cost, built from first
principles. You will have full autonomy to build a world-class identity system, including
direct access to government databases as you see fit.

Responsibilities:

• Rebuild OneDosh’s identity verification product from scratch, optimizing real human approval rate at minimal cost
• Reduce current KYC vendor costs by 75-100%
• Replace 3rd party tools with in-house solutions for authentication, device signals, behavioral intelligence, OCR, government database verification, etc
• Implement AI-resistant software and hardware to ensure humans stay in control of their identity
• Develop backend and frontend components of our identity verification product with single ownership
• Minimize false positive rejections across key partners

Qualifications:

• 2+ years identity software development experience
• Deep understanding of legal identity verification requirements for financial services companies
• Demonstrated first principles thinking
• Familiarity with US, international, and blockchain payments
• Clear vision of world-class identity verification fundamentals
• Strong grasp on AI capabilities, threats, and tools
