Fiber Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fiber Technician (Entry-Level/Trainee). We have vacancies based in NJ and Long Island, NY. While experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn the telecommunications trade.
The Fiber Technician will learn to install, repair, and maintain fiber optic cables and related systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting connection issues, configuring cabling setups, and adhering to strict industry safety standards. You will work closely with senior technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery while developing a high-demand technical skill set.
Qualifications & Requirements

Reliable Transportation: Must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Driver’s License (this is a firm requirement for travel between job sites).
Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to be trained in fiber optic systems, optics, and cabling infrastructure.
Troubleshooting Mindset: A natural ability to solve problems and a "hands-on" approach to technical tasks.
Physical Stamina & Detail: Ability to work on-site in various environments, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and provide professional service to clients.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant technical certifications are a plus, but not required—we will help you get there.
