RedHat Ansible and Satellite

**Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Satellite Server for system provisioning, patch management, and configuration.
• Develop and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate infrastructure operations.
• Manage lifecycle environments, content views, and activation keys in Satellite.
• Create and enforce compliance and security baselines using Ansible and Satellite.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to support vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Satellite provisioning, content delivery, and Ansible execution.
• Perform periodic health checks, upgrades, and backups of Satellite and Ansible environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Integrate Satellite and Ansible with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), CI/CD pipelines, or monitoring solutions where applicable.

**Required Skills and Qualifications-

• Strong knowledge of RHEL and CentOS system internals, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Proficient in Ansible Tower/AAP, including workflow templates, RBAC, and inventory management.
• Deep understanding of Red Hat Satellite 6.x, including Capsule servers and content management.
• Experience with subscription management, patching strategies, and system provisioning.
• Hands-on experience with Python, YAML, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with IdM, LDAP, Active Directory integration, and Kerberos.
• Experience with automation in hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenStack).

**Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite or Ansible Automation.
• Experience with SCAP Compliance, Foreman, or Katello.
• Familiarity with GitOps, Terraform, or other IaC tools.
• Knowledge of security standards like STIG, CIS Benchmarks.
