Team Overview
Our Research & Development (R&D) team is the technical talent at the heart of our product suite, overseeing the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery. From engineering to quality assurance to data science, the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.
Responsibilities
Description
- Lead architecture and design for a new multi-tenant reporting platform built on AWSserverless technologies.
- Provide hands-on development using Python, TypeScript, SQL, and AWS services includingLambda, Step Functions, API Gateway and others.
- Develop AI-driven pipelines that extract, translate, and validate business logic and reportparameter screens from the legacy platform.
- Define coding standards, best practices, and development patterns across the engineeringteam.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; conduct design and code reviews.
- Partner with Product, Data, QA, and Architecture teams to align technical and businessrequirements.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including Agent Orchestration, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability, etc.
- Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch, and more.
- Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve the performance — scalability, cost, latency, throughput — of large scale production AI systems.
- Ensure platform scalability, security, tenant isolation, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience with AWS serverless architectures.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Strong SQL background; Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience building or integrating AI-driven systems (LLMs, embeddings, AIagents, transformation pipelines).
- Solid experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, or modernizing legacy platforms.
- Proven leadership in technical strategy and mentoring.
- Experience designing or operating multi-tenant platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT architecture patterns.
- Prior experience with AI for code generation, metadata extraction, or workflow automation.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies (e.g. LLM Inference, Similarity Search, Agents and VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory) using Python, Typescript, React
- Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software to improve hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost
- Passion for staying abreast of the latest AI research and AI systems, and judiciously apply novel techniques in production

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $92,800 - $170,300 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
