Founding Head of Go-to-Market

Ligate Chain is an attestation-native blockchain. Cryptographic receipts for AI calls, agent actions, prompts, and provenance, written once and verifiable forever. Implementation is a Sovereign SDK rollup on Celestia data availability, secured by Proof of Useful Attestation (PoUA). Hyperlane handles cross-chain messaging. $LGT is the native token.

Three first-party flagships ship on top, all under one token:

1. Themisra, Proof of Prompt. For humans using ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini who want a verifiable record of what they asked the model and what it returned.
2. Mneme, the first-party browser wallet. Holds $LGT, signs every chain transaction, ships with a one-click "Attest with Mneme" button injected into ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
3. Iris, an open-source MCP server plus USD-billed relayer for autonomous AI agents. Agents attest their actions, Iris sponsors the gas, we keep a SaaS margin.

The bet: AI is about to need a hard provenance layer (EU AI Act enforcement, agent action verification, model output integrity, IP attribution for training corpora), and that market is too far from how existing chains are designed to live as someone's sidecar. We win by being the default rail for AI receipts. Third parties register their own schemas and attestor sets on the same protocol.

Devnet target Q2 2026. Marketing site at ligate.io is live, docs at docs.ligate.io are live, PoUA v0.7 paper has 25 external reviewers reading it now.

About this role

I'm Stefan (ex-Request Network, ex-IOHK, ex-Seamless.Finance, founder before that). I've shipped the marketing surface so far: ligate.io, docs.ligate.io, the whitepaper PDF, the brand system (sage on obsidian, witness-card aesthetic with hairline L-brackets, monumental serif moments), the OG image generator, the SEO baseline around "AI attestation blockchain" and "sovereign blockchain", the X presence at @ligatelabs, the Discord at discord.gg/ZWUeJ8k3eP, the press kit, the first batch of outbound to investors and design partners. Last week I rewrote the hero animations from framer-motion to CSS keyframes and cut Lighthouse TBT in half.

I can ship marketing surfaces. What I'm not is the right long-term owner of growth, distribution, design partnerships, or fundraising narrative. The first instinct in this category is to act like a chain. That's wrong. We act like a piece of dev infrastructure that happens to be a chain underneath, and the brand has to carry that. I want a co-founder who can hold that line better than I can alone.

What you'd own:

• Positioning and narrative for "AI attestation blockchain". Niche category, underserved, real demand emerging from EU AI Act timelines and the agent-provenance pain every AI engineering team is starting to feel. We have a strong position. You'd sharpen it.
• Distribution. Content strategy, the X account at @ligatelabs (currently small but live), Discord stewardship at discord.gg/ZWUeJ8k3eP, the technical blog (MDX-based, ships from the marketing repo, auto-generates OG images), LinkedIn, conference presence, podcast pitches. All of it.
• Design partner pipeline. We need 1 or 2 AI studios or SaaS teams willing to pilot Themisra or Iris on devnet. The brief is clear: build them a custom schema, set them up with the relay, make their compliance story easier. You'd own that pipeline from cold outreach to signed pilot.
• Fundraising support. The deck, investor outreach, warm-intro choreography. I run the conversations and the technical due-diligence calls. You sharpen the artifacts, track the pipeline, prep the room.
• The eventual GTM team. Post-pre-seed we hire content, DevRel, community, ops. You'd lead the build.

A normal week today: half on writing (positioning docs, blog drafts, deck edits, content scripts), half on outreach (Twitter DMs to AI builders, Discord conversations with potential design partners, intro emails to investors I've teed up).

You'd be a fit if

• 4+ years in GTM, ideally in Web3, or developer tools / DevRel, or fintech (especially compliance / payments). You've shipped marketing for a technical product before.
• Strong writer. This is a content-led, distribution-led category, copy is the moat. Send me a post or a thread you wrote that you're proud of.
• Network in Web3 (founders, design partners, investors, ecosystem contacts) or in AI infra. AI-infra networks are increasingly more valuable for us than crypto-native ones.
• Comfort with pre-launch ambiguity. We don't have a product to demo yet, we have a paper, a chain in development, a marketing surface, and a thesis. The product comes Q2 2026.

Big bonuses

• Previous founder or founding-team experience, especially a 0 to 1 GTM build.
• AI-native audience familiarity. You can tell a Hugging Face user from a Solana user, and you have an opinion about how they read brand.
• Public writing or speaking presence (a blog, a Substack, a podcast, an X account that earned its followers).
• Strong opinions on what makes a Web3 brand legible vs Web3-shaped slop.

Compensation

Equity from day one. Salary is $0 until pre-seed closes (we're raising $500K to $1M now, conversations in progress). Once pre-seed lands, market-rate co-founder salary follows. Wellfound salary range below reflects post-funding compensation.
