AI Workflow Builder — Agentic AI Project @ Peak Alliance
Project-based compensation
• Remote / flexible
• Ideal for recent grads, builders, or candidates between roles
Peak Alliance is looking for a technical builder to help design and implement an agentic AI workflow inside the property damage restoration industry.
This is a project-based role, not a salaried or hourly position. The initial scope, success criteria, and compensation will be agreed upon upfront. If the project is successful, there may be an opportunity to continue working with Peak Alliance on future AI and automation projects.
This role is ideal for a recent college graduate, early-career technical builder, or someone between full-time roles who wants hands-on experience applying generative AI to a real business problem.
About Peak Alliance
Peak Alliance helps independent restoration companies grow while preserving family ownership, local identity, and operational excellence.
Our operating companies handle the messy, high-stakes work that follows water damage and other property losses: emergency response, job documentation, insurance communication, collections, revenue management, and field-to-finance execution.
Restoration is a large, fragmented, operationally complex industry that has been underserved by modern software. Peak Alliance believes agentic AI can help restoration businesses provide better service to households affected by water damage while improving profitability for small and family-owned operators.
The project
You’ll work directly with Peak Alliance leadership to identify, design, and build an initial AI-enabled workflow for a real restoration business.
Potential project areas include:
-AI-assisted collections workflows
-Insurance negotiation and carrier response support
-Documentation review for restoration jobs
-Data gathering and comparison across operational systems
-Workflow automation using tools like CRMs, Monday.com, spreadsheets, databases, or APIs
-Operational dashboards and reporting
This is not a research project or a demo-only AI experiment. The goal is to build something practical that can improve real operating workflows.
What you’ll do
You may help with:
-Mapping an existing operational workflow
-Identifying where AI or automation can reduce manual work or improve consistency
-Designing prompts, decision flows, human-in-the-loop review steps, and escalation logic
-Working with CSVs, spreadsheets, JSON, databases, APIs, or operational exports
-Prototyping an agentic workflow using available AI, automation, or low-code tools
-Testing the workflow against real examples and improving it based on feedback
-Helping define whether the project succeeded based on measurable business outcomes
What we’re looking for
You do not need decades of experience. You do need to be technical, curious, organized, and willing to figure things out.
Strong candidates will have:
-Experience building or meaningfully contributing to AI agents, agentic workflows, or -LLM-powered automations, whether through professional work, academic projects, or serious personal projects
-Experience with prompt engineering and generative AI systems
-Ability to write scripts in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language to clean data, call APIs, and prototype workflows
-Comfort working with SQL, relational databases, and structured data analysis
-Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, authentication, and how data flows between applications
-Comfort working with CSV, flat files, JSON, spreadsheets, and operational exports
-Ability to debug imperfect data, broken integrations, and inconsistent AI outputs
-Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business operators
-Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through
-Interest in solving real operational problems, not just building AI demos
Nice to have
-Familiarity with tool use, structured outputs, retrieval/RAG, memory, evaluation, human-in-the-loop review, or multi-step reasoning workflows
-Experience with workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, Retool, Airtable, n8n, or similar
-Experience with CRMs, Monday.com, job management systems, or other operational platforms
-Experience deploying lightweight internal tools, scripts, dashboards, or automations for real users
-Interest in insurance, construction, restoration, home services, or other operations-heavy industries
Compensation
This is a project-based role. Compensation will be agreed upon upfront and tied to clearly defined project milestones or success criteria.
Peak Alliance is open to structuring the project in a way that aligns incentives and rewards successful execution. If the initial project goes well, there may be an opportunity for ongoing consulting or additional project work.
Why this is a great opportunity
This is a chance to get real-world experience building agentic AI in an operating business.
You’ll work on messy workflows, fragmented data, human judgment, operational constraints, and measurable business outcomes — the exact conditions that make AI agents both difficult and valuable.
For the right person, this could be a strong portfolio project, a meaningful consulting opportunity, and a chance to help bring practical AI into an industry that needs it.
To apply
Please reach out with your resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, or examples of relevant projects. Include a short note describing an AI workflow, automation, agent, or technical project you’ve built or meaningfully contributed to.
