Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Ohsnap is the innovative startup that’s been redefining how people use their phones since late 2019. We make premium MagSafe accessories. Grips, stands, wallets, chargers, and the MCON gaming controller, that actually improve how people live with their tech every day.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Design Engineer to join our small, talented, and genuinely fun product team. You’ll work directly with the CEO and have real ownership over products that hundreds of thousands of people use daily.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have deep experience designing and engineering sophisticated consumer electronics from concept through mass production
• Understand the realities (and opportunities) of building products at scale
• Love consumer tech and get genuinely excited about pushing what’s possible with everyday gadgets
• Know when to be disciplined and when to stay flexible—we move fast and have a good time doing it
• Are fluent in manufacturing methods, materials, and DFM so you can keep products feasible and high-quality
• Enjoy challenging the status quo (nothing we do is “safe” or easy)
• Are tech-savvy and not afraid to use tools like GPT to move faster (we actually encourage it)

Must-haves:

• Live in the Raleigh-Durham-Apex-Cary area (or willing to relocate) and work on-site in our Apex, NC office
• Strong Fusion 360 (or equivalent) CAD skills

What you’ll actually do:

• Lead the product design and engineering for an exciting new product we’re launching in a brand-new category
• Work daily with the CEO and Director of Engineering
• Spend serious time in CAD turning ideas into production-ready designs
• Use our in-house research lab (3D printers, laser cutter, waterjet, mill, lathe) to prototype fast. Our shop manager is there to help if you need it
