About the job
About the Role
We're looking for Director Partnerships who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to build from zero to one. You'll own the end-to-end partnership motion — from sourcing and onboarding high-impact partners to shaping joint go-to-market strategies. The mandate is simple: turn partnerships into a meaningful, repeatable revenue channel.
In year one, you're a hands-on builder. As the channel scales, you evolve into a player-coach — recruiting and mentoring a small team while staying close to partners and revenue.
You'll work primarily with accounting firms, CFO advisory practices, finance transformation consultants, and fractional CFO networks — building trust with the practitioners who advise CFOs and controllers directly. This is a highly cross-functional role with close partnership across Marketing, Sales, BD, and the Founders. Expect to travel 3–5 trips per quarter; relationships in this space are built in person, not over email.
What You'll Own
- Partner strategy — Define ideal partner personas aligned to Zenskar's ICP and map where partnerships fit across the buyer journey.
- Source & sign net-new partners — Own outreach, discovery, qualification, and onboarding from first contact through launch. Build a repeatable acquisition motion, not one-off relationships.
- Drive revenue through the channel — Develop joint go-to-market strategies that generate measurable pipeline. Own and hit quarterly partner-sourced SQO and pipeline targets. This is a revenue role, not a relationship role.
- Field presence — Spend meaningful time building relationships through in-person meetings, lunch-and-learns, executive sessions, and industry conferences. Show up where real momentum gets created.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5+ years in B2B SaaS, with at least 2–3 years owning partnerships in the CFO/finance tech space — specifically with accounting firms, advisory practices, or finance transformation consultancies
- Proven track record of building partner-sourced pipeline from scratch — you've had a quota, hit it, and can point to specific revenue numbers
- Experience self-sourcing partners through outbound — you didn't inherit a program or manage inbound only
- Strong first-principles understanding of business fundamentals, with the ability to deeply understand the product and empathize with customer pain points
- Comfortable balancing strategic vision and tactical execution — you think big and do the work
- Strong project management skills; the partner cycle is long and requires proactive follow-through
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build, manage, and motivate a team as we scale
- High ownership, strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset
- Previous experience at an early-stage startup is a huge plus
Nice to have
- Early-stage startup experience;
- Familiarity with ERP, billing, CPQ, or accounting systems
