About the job

Hi there! We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team that's on a mission to redine supply chains and manufacturing using next generation digital technologies, connecting the virtual world and the physical world!

About Mosaic

Mosaic is redefining how manufacturing operates at scale.

Our industrial 3D printing platform integrates hardware, software, and materials into a unified system built for reliable, automated production. The result: higher throughput, reduced labor, and consistent, high-quality results across every part.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Toronto, Mosaic partners with organizations adopting a more scalable, production-ready approach to manufacturing.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, integration, and validation of the electronics of our automated production systems. You will lead system-level design and development across ensuring our products deliver reliable, repeatable, and scalable performance in real-world environments.

This role requires operating at a high level of ownership and ambiguity; not only considering design decisions from a tecnical lens, but also considering the impact on the surrounding systems and end users.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the complete design cycle of our electrical systems, translating system requirements into design constraints, integration points, prototypes, and eventually production-ready designs
  • Define and drive system architecture decisions across the mechanical, hardware, and software systems
  • Collaborate in cross-functional integration, working with engineers in adjacent disciplines to solve complex and interconnected problems
  • Define and execute electrical system validation strategies to ensure performance, reliability, and repeatability in real-world conditions
  • Diagnose and resolve design issues using structured, hypothesis-driven approaches and root cause analysis methods
  • Fascilitate the certification of our products through regulatory certifications in EMC and Safety standards

What we're looking for

Core Capabilities

  • Strong Electrical Engineering capabilities, specifically in PCB design for highly integrated electromechanical systrems
  • Strong systems thinking with ability to consider designs in a larger end-to-end approach
  • Advanced structured problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to navigate and resolve ambiguity across multiple domains

Technical Experience

7+ years working on:

  • Complex electromechanical systems
  • Manufacturing systems or automation
  • Experience integrating electrical designs across mechanical, hardware, and software domains

Execution & Leadership

Proven ability to:

  • Own and deliver complex and highly integrated systems
  • Make decisions under uncertainty

Mindset

  • Ownership of outcomes, not just contributions
  • Bias toward real-world validation
  • Ability to zoom in (debugging details) and zoom out (system architecture)
  • Strong communication and influence across teams
