iOS & Android Developer

About the Role

Pixels On Target is looking for a motivated iOS & Android Developer to join our mobile team. You’ll be working on our mobile applications that connect users to our advanced thermal optics products, enhancing field performance and situational awareness. Note: This position requires a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iOS and Android applications that interface with our thermal imaging devices
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and embedded engineers
• Implement app features including device connectivity, image streaming, and settings configuration
• Contribute to testing, debugging, and performance optimization across mobile platforms
• Potential to assist in development of ATAK plugins or similar tactical applications

Requirements

• 0–3 years of mobile application development experience (iOS and/or Android)
• Strong understanding of mobile app lifecycles and UI development principles
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java (Android) and/or Swift (iOS)
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Bluetooth, or USB device communication
• Experience with Git version control
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn

Bonus / Plus:

• Experience with MFi / iAP2 External Accessory development
• Experience with ATAK plugin development or similar tactical/military-grade mobile solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Projects involving hardware integration or tactical applications
• GitHub or portfolio showcasing iOS and/or Android work
• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture (Android) and/or SwiftUI, UIKit, Core Bluetooth, or External Accessory framework (iOS)
