Role Description

We are looking for a Financial Controller with strong e-commerce experience to manage accounting, financial reporting, inventory valuation, and cash flow for a fast-growing online brand selling on platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and other DTC channels.

The ideal candidate understands e-commerce financial operations, including COGS, inventory accounting, platform fee reconciliation, and cash forecasting.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition across sales channels
• Build financial dashboards for management

Inventory & COGS Management

• Track inventory valuation and landed cost
• Reconcile inventory across 3PLs, warehouses, and sales channels
• Monitor COGS, gross margins, and SKU profitability

E-commerce Platform Reconciliation

• Reconcile settlements from Amazon, Shopify
• Track marketplace fees, refunds, and chargebacks
• Ensure accurate accounting for fulfillment costs

Cash Flow & Forecasting

• Build cash flow projections
• Forecast inventory purchases and working capital needs
• Support budgeting and financial planning

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee monthly close process
• Manage bookkeeping
• Coordinate with CPA for tax filings and compliance

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in financial controlling or accounting
• Strong experience in e-commerce accounting
• Strong expertise in QuickBooks Enterprise Online
• Deep understanding of inventory accounting and COGS
• Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills

Preferred Experience

• Strong Experience with Amazon FBA / multi-channel e-commerce
• Experience integrating tools such as:
• A2X
• SOS
• CYN7
• InventoryLab
• Sellerboard
• CPA or finance degree

• Accurate monthly financials delivered on time
• Clear SKU-level profitability reporting
• Strong cash flow forecasting
• Clean reconciliation of marketplace settlements

The most important skill for this role is inventory and COGS reconciliation with Amazon settlements.
