About the job
The Mission
KingPool is the Social Operating System for sports fans, launching in 2026. We aren’t looking for button-mashers; we’re looking for "Product Pioneers" to break things, find the cracks, and help us build the ultimate gameday experience. As a Beta Tester, you’re the first line of defense between a "good" app and a "god-tier" platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Stress-Testing: Use the app during live gamedays to see how it handles real-world chaos.
- Breaking Stuff: Purposefully try to find bugs, lag, or UI glitches before the rest of the world sees them.
- Feedback Loops: Provide raw, unfiltered feedback on the user experience. If a feature is "mid," we need you to tell us.
- Growth Hacking: Leverage your campus network to bring in new users and earn your $10 per sign-up bounty.
The Ideal Candidate
- Sports Obsessed: You live for gamedays and understand the "Social Ops" of a stadium or a sports bar.
- Tech Savvy: You’re the person friends ask to fix their phones. You know your way around an app.
- Critical Eye: You notice the small details—the font being slightly off or a button being 2 pixels too low.
- Loud: You’re not afraid to jump into a Discord or Slack channel and tell the developers exactly what’s wrong.
The Perks
- Resume Builder: "Early Stage Beta Tester for a Sportstech Startup" looks a lot better than "Worked at the campus bookstore."
- Alpha Access: You get the features months before the general public.
