About the job

Job Description:

DataRobot delivers AI that maximizes impact and minimizes business risk. Our platform and applications integrate into core business processes so teams can develop, deliver, and govern AI at scale. DataRobot empowers practitioners to deliver predictive and generative AI, and enables leaders to secure their AI assets. Organizations worldwide rely on DataRobot for AI that makes sense for their business — today and in the future.

The Principal Product Manager, Identity Platform will support the organization in building foundational capabilities to support enterprise identity and access management (IAM) across DataRobot's platform and product ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and implementation of identity infrastructure — including authentication, authorization, directory integration, and governance — that enables secure, compliant, and seamless access for enterprise customers. As part of this, you will also be responsible for programs that leverage these foundational identity capabilities across different departments

within the company.

The Principal Product Manager, Identity Platform will work closely with stakeholders across all parts of the business including Engineering, Product, GTM, Partners, Security, IT, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to execute growth projects and new products and features. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of breaking down complex enterprise identity problems into scalable, customer-facing solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience navigating the demands of enterprise IT organizations, including procurement, security review, compliance requirements, and change management processes — particularly in regulated industries or hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical discussions and serve as a thought leader during product reviews related to identity architecture, access control models, and directory integration patterns, enterprise readiness and IT governance.
  • Integrate your technical knowledge, subject matter expertise, and understanding of enterprise identity trends to make sound decisions and influence business direction through data-driven analysis. Responsible for designing and executing process and strategy frameworks that facilitate product-related goal setting, decision making, and business impact. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Articulate to stakeholders your team's technology vision, requirements, goals, and milestones for identity and access management capabilities.
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases of identity system integrations.
  • Own the execution of foundational identity infrastructure including SSO (SAML, OIDC), SCIM-based provisioning/deprovisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), attribute- based access control (ABAC), MFA enforcement, and audit logging.
  • Partner with enterprise IT and security teams to understand customer identity environments — including Active Directory, LDAP, Okta, Azure AD/Entra ID, Ping Identity, and similar systems — and translate their requirements into platform capabilities.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on enterprise IT procurement and onboarding requirements, guiding the product organization to build features that satisfy common enterprise security questionnaires and vendor assessments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep expertise in enterprise identity systems and protocols including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, and Kerberos, with hands-on experience integrating these into SaaS or platform products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of enterprise IT requirements across identity lifecycle management — including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, access certification, and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Experience working within or alongside enterprise IT governance frameworks, including change advisory boards (CAB), IT steering committees, and vendor risk management processes.
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise governance and enterprise readiness requirements..
  • Have introduced or significantly advanced identity and access management capabilities (0 to 1 or major platform evolution) that have improved security posture and enterprise customer adoption.
  • 8 years of experience in product management with technical products, including at least 3 years focused on identity, security, or access management platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a technical product manager or managing delivery of technical capabilities.

Nice to Have:

  • An active secret clearance (or higher)
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and their application in hybrid and
  • multi-cloud environments
  • Masters' degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Data Science
  • MBA
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with cloud identity services such as Azure
  • AD/Entra ID, AWS IAM, or Google Cloud Identity
