Frontend Developer: Pixel-Perfect UI Polish & Visual QA (Part-Time / Contract)

About Us

We're building an AI-powered workspace platform for teams. The product spans multiple complex surfaces — a visual workflow builder with a node-based canvas, CRM views, inbox, knowledge base, integrations hub, and more. The frontend is built with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and modern component primitives (Radix UI / shadcn-style).

The Role

We have Figma designs for every screen. The problem is that the current implementation drifts from those designs in dozens of small ways — spacing is off, colors don't match tokens, border radii are inconsistent, hover states are missing, typography doesn't follow the hierarchy, elements are misaligned by a few pixels. We need a developer who will go screen by screen, compare the live app to the Figma source of truth, and fix every discrepancy.

You're the kind of developer who opens DevTools and the Figma file side by side and doesn't stop until they match exactly.

What You'll Do

• Go through every screen in the app and compare the live implementation to the Figma designs Fix all visual discrepancies — spacing, padding, margins, font sizes, font weights, line heights, colors, border radii, shadows, icon sizes, alignment
• Fix missing or incorrect interaction states — hover, focus, active, disabled, loading, empty states
• Polish the node-based workflow builder — 10+ node types each with configuration panels that need to match Figma exactly
• Ensure all fixes use existing Tailwind tokens and design system components rather than introducing one-off values

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of frontend development experience with React and Tailwind CSS
• Exceptional attention to visual detail — this is the #1 qualification. You can spot a 1px misalignment or a wrong shade of gray at a glance
• Strong Figma literacy — you can navigate a Figma file, inspect specs, extract exact values, and understand auto-layout, spacing tokens, and component variants
• Experience with Next.js App Router is a plus
• Familiarity with component libraries like Radix UI or shadcn/ui is a plus
• Experience working on complex UI — dashboards, data tables, node-based editors, or multi-panel layouts
• Self-directed — you don't need someone to point out every mismatch. You find them yourself, fix them, and submit clean PRs

This Role Does Not Involve

• Building new features — the features exist, they just need to match the designs
• Backend work — this is purely visual frontend
• Design decisions — the Figma files are the source of truth, you implement what's there

1. Walk us through a past project where you did detail-oriented frontend work — pixel-perfect implementation, design system cleanup, or visual QA fixes. Show a before/after and explain what you caught and how you fixed it.

2. Pick any live SaaS product, screenshot one screen, open DevTools, and identify at least 5 visual issues (spacing, alignment, typography, states, etc.). Walk us through each one and explain how you'd fix it in code.
