About the job
golf.today is building a tee time booking marketplace with a closed-loop stored-value economy underneath it, a financial layer no one in this $3.4 billion industry has attempted. One company controls ~90% of online tee time inventory through a barter model that extracts value from courses. Over 1,000 courses switched providers in spring 2025 alone. The market is ready. The product doesn't exist yet. That's where you come in.
You will be the first technical hire and a co-founder. We have a working front-end demo that shows the full product experience: booking, wallet, redemption, and engagement loops. What doesn't exist yet is the production infrastructure underneath it: the API integrations with tee sheet platforms, the payments and stored-value plumbing, and the native mobile apps. You're not starting from a blank whiteboard. You're looking at a fully realized product vision and deciding how to build the engine that makes it real, on a stack you choose.
What exists today: a Delaware C-Corp, serious corporate counsel, a front-end product demo showing the full user experience, a modeled points economy with unit economics at every tier, the domain golf.today, and active advisory relationships with PGA Tour winners. The founder brings 27 years of hospitality business ownership with multiple exits.
What we need:
Someone who has built consumer-facing products from zero to production
Deep understanding of payments infrastructure, stored value, or fintech plumbing
Experience with API integrations, real-time systems, and mobile
The judgment to make architecture decisions that scale, and the honesty to push back when something won't work. Someone who wants to own this, not just build it.
This is not a job. It's a co-founder role with meaningful equity and full ownership of the technical vision.
