Role Summary

As Head of AI, you will define, architect, and lead InvestorSight’s AI strategy, driving innovation across fact-checking, predictive models, natural language understanding of financial documents (e.g., SEC filings), and machine learning workflows that support real-time analytics for customers.

What You'll Do

You will join the leadership team, own the AI roadmap, and elevate our products with responsible, explainable, and performance-optimized models.

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the company’s AI vision and long-term roadmap
• Translate business and product goals into impactful AI/ML initiatives
• Own prioritization of AI project delivery and operational excellence

Model Development & Validation

• Lead the design and deployment of scalable ML/AI systems
• Oversee neural networks, LLMs, time-series, and tabular models for finance
• Ensure models meet performance, compliance, and governance standards
• Oversee rigorous evaluation and real-world validation of outputs

Data & Engineering Integration

• Build bridges with Data Engineering and Product teams
• Ensure clean ingestion, labeling, and governance of high-value data (e.g., EDGAR, CRSP, Compustat)
• Architect retrieval/embedding systems with explainability baked in

Responsible AI & Compliance

• Embed explainability, auditability, and reproducibility into all AI workflows
• Collaborate with legal and compliance for AI usage in financial contexts
• Create guardrails to prevent hallucinations and ensure grounded outputs

Team & Culture

• Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI/ML team
• Establish best practices in production ML, code review, documentation, and testing
• Champion data-driven decision making across the organization

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in AI/ML experience
• Experience building AI systems at scale in production
• Strong track record of deploying models with real-world impact
• Solid experience with:
  • Large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented systems
  • Time-series forecasting, classification, anomaly detection
  • Natural language processing of structured/unstructured text
• Strong coding skills in Python and ML tooling
• Experience with vector stores, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines
• Familiarity with financial datasets (e.g., SEC EDGAR, CRSP, Compustat)
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous problems into results

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with responsible AI governance and audit frameworks
• Familiarity with fintech, investment analytics, quant workflows
• Experience in SaaS product organizations
