Student Intern (College Level) Industrial Engineer

Join us as an Industrial Engineering Intern and gain hands‑on experience improving real production processes in a dynamic, on‑site manufacturing environment. You'll work side‑by‑side with experienced engineers to analyze workflows, conduct time and motion studies, write assembly work instructions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that make a measurable impact on efficiency and productivity. This internship is perfect for students eager to apply their analytical skills, collaborate across production, quality, and maintenance teams, and contribute to meaningful projects that enhance operational excellence. If you're passionate about lean manufacturing, problem‑solving, and building your engineering skillset in a fast‑paced, supportive environment, this role will set you up for success!

This is an on-site position.

Minimum Requirements And Qualification

  • Junior or senior year in Industrial Engineering or related field of study.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and industrial engineering techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SolidWorks, or any other CAD software is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Major Responsibility Areas And Duties

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate work methods and recommend process improvements.
  • Write Work Instructions for Assembly
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assist in designing and optimizing workflows, layouts, and workstation ergonomics.
  • Participate in cost-reduction projects by improving material flow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to production performance and process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in all production activities.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. - Preferred
