SourceIQ is an AI-powered supplier management and sourcing platform transforming how enterprises discover, evaluate, onboard, and collaborate with suppliers. We're in active proof-of-concept with several large companies, with enterprise conversations with Boeing, Microsoft, and Target.
We're building our brand from the ground up and need creative, strategic minds to help us tell our story across social media, create compelling visual content, and build awareness in the procurement and supplier communities.
The Role
As a Social Media & Graphic Design Intern, you'll own SourceIQ's visual brand identity and social media presence. This isn't just "posting on Instagram"—you'll develop our brand voice, create content that resonates with enterprise buyers, and build thought leadership in the procurement tech space.
You'll work directly with our CEO (experienced public speaker with engagements from small venues to hockey arenas) to translate our mission and product into visual stories that connect with Fortune 500 procurement teams, mid-sized companies, and industry stakeholders.
This is a portfolio-building opportunity: Every design you create, every campaign you run, and every piece of content you publish will be used by a real B2B SaaS company engaging with Enterprise customers.
What You'll Do
Social Media Management (50%)
- Content strategy: Develop our social media strategy across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram
- Content creation: Write posts, captions, and copy that engage B2B audiences
- Posting schedule: Manage consistent posting (3-5x/week across platforms)
- Community engagement: Respond to comments, engage with industry conversations, build relationships
- LinkedIn focus: Our primary platform—create thought leadership content for CEO and company page
- Analytics tracking: Monitor engagement, growth, and performance metrics
- Campaign execution: Launch product updates, customer stories, industry insights
Graphic Design & Visual Content (50%)
- Brand identity: Refine and maintain SourceIQ's visual brand guidelines
- Social graphics: Create eye-catching graphics for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram posts
- Infographics: Visualize data, statistics, and platform features
- Presentation decks: Design pitch decks, sales decks, and conference presentations
- Marketing collateral: One-pagers, case studies, event materials
- Video thumbnails: Design compelling thumbnails for video content
- Website graphics: Support website updates with custom graphics and visuals
Content Collaboration
- Work with CEO: Turn thought leadership ideas into visual content
- Customer stories: Design case studies showcasing future customers
- Product launches: Create announcement graphics and launch campaigns
- Event promotion: Design graphics for conferences, webinars, speaking engagements
- Partnership announcements: Visual content for association partnerships
Brand Building
- Thought leadership: Help establish SourceIQ as a voice in procurement tech
- Industry engagement: Engage with procurement, supplier diversity, and SaaS communities
- Competitor analysis: Track what competitors are doing on social media
- Trend awareness: Stay current with B2B social media best practices
Required Qualifications
Design Skills (Must Have)
- ✅ Proficiency in design tools: Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar
- ✅ Portfolio of work: Show us 3-5 examples of social graphics, presentations, or marketing materials you've created
- ✅ Brand consistency: Can create cohesive visual identities across different formats
- ✅ Typography and color theory: Understanding of design fundamentals
- ✅ Layout and composition: Can create balanced, visually appealing designs
Social Media Skills (Must Have)
- ✅ Strong writing: Can write compelling B2B copy that's professional yet engaging
- ✅ Platform knowledge: Understand how LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram work
- ✅ Content calendar management: Organized, can plan and schedule content ahead
- ✅ Analytics awareness: Can interpret engagement metrics and optimize based on data
- ✅ Self-directed: Can develop content ideas without constant direction
Nice to Have
- Experience managing social media for a brand, club, or organization
- Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut)
- Animation or motion graphics (After Effects, Lottie)
- Photography skills (for lifestyle content, event coverage)
- Understanding of B2B marketing or SaaS
- Interest in procurement, supply chain, or supplier diversity
- Experience with LinkedIn content strategy specifically
- Knowledge of social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later)

Commitment & Expectations
- Time commitment: 15-30 hours per week (flexible based on your schedule)

- Academic credit: Available for students whose universities offer it
- Output expectations: 5-10 social graphics per week 3-5 social posts written per week 1-2 major design projects per month (decks, case studies, etc.) Weekly analytics review and optimization
