About the job
About the job
We are looking for a high-agency, deeply curious Software Engineer to join our small but nimble team at Praan Health, where we are reimagining healthcare for India’s aging population. This is not just an engineering role - it’s about building systems that improve the lives of real families dealing with chronic conditions, aging, and preventive ca****re.
What You’ll Do
Build and scale our healthcare platform end-to-end: from member onboarding to real-time tracking of health, strength training, nutrition, and biomarker insights.
Work closely with doctors, nutritionists, and strength coaches to translate clinical protocols into simple, intuitive software experiences.
Design and implement AI/ML-powered features (e.g., predictive health scores, personalized habit nudges, progress tracking, real-time alerts).
Take ownership of entire product verticals — from design discussions to production deployment — with speed and reliability.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary founding team (doctors, product, operations, sales) in a fast-paced startup environment where velocity matters more than polish.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of professional experience building and shipping products. Startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred.
Prior healthcare tech experience (EHR systems, patient apps, digital health platforms, or fitness/nutrition apps) is a big plus.
Strong experience with AI/ML workflows: model training, integration into products, or applied ML (recommendation systems, computer vision, NLP).
Full-stack mindset — comfortable diving into frontend, backend, or infrastructure to solve problems end-to-end.
High level of curiosity — you constantly ask “why,” explore new technologies, and think deeply about user behavior and health data.
High level of agency — you don’t wait for instructions, you anticipate needs, propose solutions, and execute.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills: ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and simplify complexity.
This is NOT a new grad/internship position. Has to be based in Bengaluru, India.
Why Join Us
Be part of the early team solving one of India’s most urgent problems: the health and dignity of our parents.
Directly impact 1000s of families today, and millions tomorrow.
Zero bureaucracy — full ownership, fast iterations, immediate feedback from real users.
