The Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering timely and accurate reporting of financial statement line items. The individual will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. Additionally, the role will require liaising with internal and external stakeholders and business executives to ensure the integrity of our financial information.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, quarterly roll forwards, and month-end close processes
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for international entities by functional currencies, in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS
• Perform variance analysis on actual vs forecasted results and provide clear, insightful commentary to explain key drivers and trends
• Familiarity with revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Takes initiative to document and improve accounting processes while ensuring compliance with control procedures
• End-to-end accounting and process ownership of assigned general ledger accounts
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance as needed
• Respond and coordinate with external and internal audit requests
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and assignments and adjust priorities as needed to shifting business needs
• Interface with internal departments to provide accounting support, communicate accounting policies, and coordinate deliverables
• Work in a remote setting independently and across various time zones

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• 2-5 years professional experience (exposure to the software tech industry)
• Positive attitude and team-oriented
• Attention to detail and working with large data sets
• Proven leadership to meet deadlines and ability to understand the “big picture”
• Adaptability to Financial Systems (NetSuite, Floqast, Coupa).
