Founding Mobile Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Engineer to join us as an early hire and foundational member of our team. As our Founding Mobile Engineer, you’ll work closely with the CEO and product leadership to take our app to the next level, building features that empower parents to raise healthier kids and manage chronic conditions. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling our mobile app, ensuring it delivers a seamless, intuitive, and engaging user experience.

At Holistic Childhood, we are on a mission to transform children’s health by empowering families with tools to track and improve their well-being. From addressing eczema, asthma, and obesity to ADHD and autism, our platform helps parents navigate the process of holistic healing for their children’s health challenges.

We’re early in our journey, with a live product helping families today, and now we’re looking for a technical leader to scale our app and create a world-class user experience. What You’ll Do

Develop and Enhance the App.

• Design, develop, and maintain our mobile app (iOS required; Android experience a bonus), focusing on performance, usability, and scalability.

Collaborate on Product Roadmap

• Work closely with the founding team to define and prioritize features, ensuring alignment with our mission and user needs.

Create Seamless Integrations

• Build efficient, intuitive interfaces and ensure smooth communication with our Firebase backend infrastructure.

Own the Mobile Architecture

• Lead the development of the app’s frontend architecture, ensuring flexibility for future iterations and modules.

Contribute Across the Stack

• Bonus: Assist with backend improvements to ensure the app’s infrastructure scales alongside user growth.

Stay on the Cutting Edge

• Continuously explore and implement the latest in mobile technology and development best practices to ensure our app remains innovative and competitive.

Build the Engineering Culture

• As one of the first engineers, help establish technical standards, workflows, and a collaborative, mission-driven team culture.

Ideal Candidate

Proven Mobile Development Expertise

• Extensive experience building mobile apps, with a strong focus on iOS development (Swift/SwiftUI preferred). Android development experience is a bonus.

Experience with Firebase

• Proficient in using Firebase for backend services, including database, authentication, and cloud functions.

Startup Experience

• Experience building and scaling apps in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
