Senior Data Analyst

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst for an IT consulting company with offices in Barcelona.

You will be a member of a dedicated team of professionals committed to mastering complex data transformation and insightful visualizations.

Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with both business and technical subject matter experts to translate business rules into accurate transformation mappings.
-Utilize an analytical mindset and strong communication skills to influence and persuade stakeholders across all organizational levels, fostering long-term partnerships.
-Leverage a solid understanding of data elements, processes, and management practices, including data ingestion, quality, usage, and stewardship.
-Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to align data insights with business needs and objectives.
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
-Perform comprehensive data discovery and analysis to assess data completeness and fitness for purpose.
-Drive innovation by envisioning optimized designs for processes, roles, and tools, moving beyond current states.
-Thrive in a fast-paced environment by effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with a high degree of motivation.
-Build enduring relationships across diverse business segments, demonstrating maturity in interacting with all management levels.

Requirements and skills:

-Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, an MBA, or equivalent professional experience is required.
-Between 4-7 years of work experience with at least 3 years in data analytics.
-Proven ability to collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights.
-Expertise in Azure technologies, including Azure DevOps and the Azure stack, as well as strong SQL and Databricks skills, is essential.
-Prior experience in the Retail, CPG, Consumer, or Commercial domains is mandatory.
-Demonstrated proficiency in using Excel for sourcing, analyzing, normalizing, and processing data, including defining requirements and ensuring data quality validations.
-Experience working with IT and Data Engineering teams to integrate analytic outputs into business processes.
-Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data systems like Hadoop HDFS and Hive is a plus.
