As we continue to expand, we're looking for talented backend developers to join our remote team and contribute to the development of robust, scalable systems.

What We Look For in You:
We are looking for an Engineering Lead to manage and grow our engineering team while driving the technical strategy for our products. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for developing scalable software solutions, mentoring engineers and overseeing key technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies, full-stack development and AI integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, providing constructive feedback, fostering skill growth, and promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  2. Lead the design, development, and scaling of software systems, ensuring that architecture aligns with business goals, using best practices in agile methodologies, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  3. Design scalable and efficient systems using technologies such as microservices, distributed systems, cloud computing and event-driven architecture. Ensure high performance and responsiveness of systems.
  4. Implement and integrate AI models where applicable to enhance product capabilities and user feedback mechanisms, driving innovation within the product.
  5. Oversee deployment and scaling of applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.
  6. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate their potential impact, and make informed recommendations for adoption
  7. Work closely with product, design, and senior management teams to align technical goals with business priorities and ensure smooth communication throughout the development process.
  8. Participate in coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and solving complex engineering challenges to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  9. Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering, focusing on quality, security, and continuous improvement of the development process.
  10. Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation and communicate progress, risks and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant experience, with the last 2-3 years in an Engineering Lead role.
  2. Strong hands-on experience in full-stack development, especially in React Native for mobile app development and backend technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and microservices architecture.
  3. Familiarity with AI/ML model integration or experience with AI technologies is a plus.
  4. Proficient in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and senior management teams. Comfortable presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Proven track record in scaling systems preferably in a startup environment, optimizing performance and managing large-scale software deployments.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
  2. Experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members.
