Lead, Food Service Attendant (Part-Time)
The Lead, Food Service Attendant (Part-Time) for the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) is responsible for opening and closing standard operating procedures within the Food and Beverage event locations and supervising Food Service Attendants. This role will lead the front of house in a positive manner, motivating staff while ensuring all guests have a positive dining experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, and serving staff to ensure guest satisfaction, and address guest concerns.
- Report any product quality issues to the Chef while on duty.
- Maintain appropriate levels of food products at line stations and ensure dining staff use appropriate serving portions to ensure smooth service.
- Encourage and oversee staff members’ interactions with guests and resolve any guest complaints.
- Complete inventory reports before and after all refreshment breaks and concession events.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Complete opening and closing checklists, including preparation and reconciliation of point-of-sale cash and credit.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the dining room, concessions, and refreshment break areas including ensuring all food and other items are stored properly and maintaining high levels of presentation in the foodservice areas.
- Assist with other Food & Beverage tasks as needed including food prep, line prep, dining room and concessions operations, as well as other duties assigned by Manager, Food and Beverage.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Prior guest service experience strongly preferred.
Prior cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card.
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, bend, and stand for long period of time.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and managers.
Critical thinking and time management skills.
Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to carry loads up to 25 lbs.

The Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC), operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) located in Vero Beach, Florida, serves as a year-round hub for amateur development initiatives and events designed to diversify and strengthen the talent pipelines of baseball and softball. We are the permanent home to several signature youth-focused events and programs, such as the Nike RBI World Series and the Hank Aaron Invitational, which teach players how to succeed on and off the field. The historic facility, formerly known as Dodgertown, was renamed Jackie Robinson Training Complex in honor of its trailblazing namesake.
