Associate - Business Development - Private Equity

Position Overview

StepStone Group, a leader across private market solutions in Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, and Infrastructure is seeking an Associate to support a territory manager and team with institutional capital raising and consultant relationships. The position will be tasked with helping to grow the firm’s investor and asset base across their assigned territory.

Essential Job Functions:

The Business Development role has a number of essential functions which include but are limited to:

• Support the territory manager in covering direct LPs relationships in the assigned territory
• Effectively assist in coverage across several countries maintaining a high level of engagement with prospective clients
• Assist in building qualified pipelines of institutional investors to execute campaigns and roadshows
• Respond to existing client inquires in a timely manner
• Meet annual KPIs and contribute to territory success
• Maintain and track outreach team activity in the firm’s CRM software (Salesforce)
• Attend regular internal meetings and strategy educations sessions
• Meet monthly with the Global Business Development Coordinator to review activity, pipeline and progress

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of sales experience
• Private markets experience preferred
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Institutional client engagement experience is a plus
• Native Spanish and professional English language required
