As Matter’s first Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be on the front lines of Matter’s growth journey, connecting with potential customers to introduce them to the value of our platform. This role is remote-first, working on EST or CST business hours.
How you'll contribute:
- Be the first point of contact for inbound leads, qualifying prospects, and ensuring a smooth handoff to Account Executives.
- Conduct outbound outreach to generate new business opportunities and engage with potential customers.
- Develop and execute personalized email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and strategic cold-calling initiatives to nurture leads.
- Build meaningful relationships with prospects, deeply understanding their needs and how Matter can help solve their challenges.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline in a CRM (e.g., HubSpot) to ensure timely follow-ups and accurate forecasting.
- Partner with the Head of Growth and Account Executives to refine outreach strategies, optimize messaging, and improve conversion rates.
- Continuously learn about Matter’s platform, target markets, and key value propositions to become a trusted advisor to prospects.
A little about you:
- 1-3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in B2B SaaS, selling HR software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for building rapport and credibility.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM tools.
- Motivated by measurable goals and results, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Collaborative and coachable, eager to grow and contribute in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Comfortable working during EST or CST business hours.
- A passion for helping companies build stronger teams and better cultures.
What we’ll offer
Our comprehensive compensation package recognizes the value you create and the impact you have.
For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full-time position is between $55,000 - $70,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $80,000 - $100,000/year, and uncapped commission with the opportunity for sales performance bonuses and incentives. Actual compensation may vary based on market conditions and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
