About the Surveillance team
This role is within the AML Operations function at Trustly. The Surveillance team is a dynamic team specialising in transaction monitoring for end users and merchants. Currently a team of 9 reporting to the Head of Surveillance.
About the roleAs a key member of our transaction monitoring team, you will be responsible for analysing and assessing transactional activities to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. Your role will involve timely and accurate case handling, including investigating suspicious activities and reporting findings to relevant authorities. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination in managing cases and fulfilling reporting requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations by ensuring compliance, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining strong partnerships with regulatory bodies.
What you’ll do
- Conduct reviews and assessments of cases flagged by the Trustly transaction monitoring system to detect potential suspicious activities
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to relevant authorities in accordance with regulatory timelines
- Utilise your expertise and insights to proactively identify opportunities for optimising efficiency & effectiveness
- Offer expert guidance to Trustly operational teams on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) practices, serving as an internal second-line resource for AML-related escalations
Who you are
- You possess at least 2 years of experience in the fields of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Compliance, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards staying updated on industry developments and best practices
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Values collaboration and possesses an open mindset and actively contributes to team success
- Your collaborative mindset and strong communication skills enable you to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, fostering positive relationships with colleagues in other departments as well as stakeholders
- Proficient in English, It will be a plus to have proficiency in other key languages such as Swedish, German, Spanish, or French
