About Us
At Harvested Robotics, we are revolutionizing sustainable farming through cutting-edge AI and robotic solutions. Our laser weeding technology integrates advanced robotics and machine learning to deliver precision agriculture tools that help farmers reduce dependency on chemicals and labor-intensive processes.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Robotics Engineer with expertise in designing, building, and testing advanced robotics systems. This role focuses on the development of high-precision tracking systems for laser weeding applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with robotic systems, a deep understanding of sensor fusion and control systems, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced robotics tracking systems to guide laser-based weed removal systems with precision.
- Integrate and calibrate various industrial camera sensors, LiDAR, IMUs, and encoders for real-time multi-sensor tracking and data fusion.
- Develop algorithms for high-accuracy object detection, motion control, and robotic path planning tailored for agricultural environments.
- Implement sensor fusion techniques to enhance the accuracy and robustness of tracking systems in dynamic field conditions.
- Implement and optimize tracking algorithms on hardware platforms such as single-board computers (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) and ARM-based microcontrollers.
- Work closely with the mechanical design team to ensure seamless integration of robotics systems into tractor-mounted and standalone platforms.
- Conduct field testing of robotic systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and iteratively improve design and tracking precision.
- Develop and validate models for weed recognition and precise targeting using camera sensors and other integrated data sources.
- Participate in the complete product lifecycle, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
- Generate detailed technical documentation for designs, testing protocols, and system performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing robotic systems.
- Strong knowledge of kinematics, motion analysis, and the integration of electromechanical systems.
- Expertise in sensor fusion techniques and data processing from cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, and encoders.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or ROS for robotics applications.
- Experience working with embedded systems and single-board computers (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) and ARM-based microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and debugging robotic systems in real-world scenarios.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable and precision agriculture technologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with real-time data processing from industrial camera sensors for object tracking and detection.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their applications in robotics for image recognition and weed identification.
- Expertise in dynamic and static analysis of robotic systems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
