Role Overview: As an Embedded Hardware Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, prototyping, and testing hardware for a variety of smart, connected devices. You will work closely with our cross-disciplinary teams to bring innovative products from concept to market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving hardware challenges and has a track record of delivering working prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize embedded hardware for IoT, wearable, and medical devices.
Schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection based on project needs.
Work alongside firmware and software teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
Prototype and validate hardware designs, debug circuits, and optimize performance.
Develop power-efficient solutions for battery-powered devices.
Integrate various sensors, actuators, and communication modules (BLE, WiFi, GSM, GPS).
Conduct functional testing and assist with compliance and certification (EMI/EMC, safety).
Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and BOMs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in embedded hardware design (2+ years preferred).
Strong portfolio showcasing embedded hardware projects (IoT, wearables, or similar).
Proficiency with design tools like Altium, Eagle, KiCAD, etc.
Knowledge of microcontrollers, communication protocols, and power management.
Hands-on experience with PCB design, prototyping, and hardware debugging.
Familiarity with battery-operated systems and low-power design.
Strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative mindset, and attention to detail.
