Co-Founder Opportunity: Lead Front-End Engineer for Travel Tech Startup

About Us
We’re an early-stage travel tech startup building a smarter way to plan trips. Our platform generates custom itineraries tailored to user preferences, schedules, and transit times, offering both individuals and businesses an innovative solution to travel planning.

We are pre-revenue and still refining our product. The foundation is built, but there are bugs to fix, features to add, and opportunities to improve the overall experience. We’re looking for a front-end engineer to join as a co-founder, take ownership of our front-end development, and help us bring this vision to life.

The Role
As our Co-Founder & Lead Front-End Engineer, you will:

  • Take full ownership of the front-end development, shaping the user interface and user experience.
  • Debug and improve the existing codebase to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Build new features, including itinerary generation tools, user dashboards, and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team to prioritize features, identify challenges, and refine the product vision.
  • Lead the technical evolution of the platform as we scale and introduce new functionality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably with React and JavaScript.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, responsive design, and API integration.
  • Firebase and Stripe Expertise: Hands-on experience with Firebase and Stripe (or comparable authentication and payment platforms) is required.
  • Problem-Solver: A hands-on, resourceful developer who can troubleshoot, debug, and optimize.
  • Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in an unstructured, resource-constrained environment with big potential upside.
  • Ownership Mentality: Passionate about building and growing a product from the ground up.
