About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated UI Designer to join our team for some exciting projects aimed at enhancing public services. In this role, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and business experts to create intuitive, visually engaging interfaces that provide delightful user experiences across digital and physical platforms. Rather than focusing on commercial projects, your work will directly contribute to societal improvements through government-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Prototyping

  • Create high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Sketch, and Invision for web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
  • Lead UI design on projects, focusing on navigation, interaction, and visual elements.
  • Define, develop, and maintain consistent design systems, ensuring uniform standards across products.
  • Design pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces aligned with user needs and supported by thorough research.

User Research & Analysis

  • Drive user research activities, including usability testing, A/B testing, stakeholder interviews, and surveys, translating insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Utilize personas, user flows, and site maps to build user-centered designs aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure UI design style guides are validated and consistent across all components and templates.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure design solutions are executed as intended.
  • Contribute to a “design improvements” document, working with other designers to refine and elevate our design approach.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders, articulating ideas and rationale behind design decisions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, defining scope, goals, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years (or 4-5 years for senior roles) of experience in UI design, preferably within a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UI design with a user-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe, and Invision, with experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, and user flows.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and design thinking.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of frontend development technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, etc.) and experience in Agile development environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with responsive web design and UI patterns across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity effectively.
