How you'll contribute

The Vice President of Sales will lead the global sales strategy at Emesent, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and leading high-performing sales teams across APAC, EMEA, and AMER regions. You will partner with the executive extended leadership team to ensure alignment between sales efforts and corporate objectives, spearheading the development and execution of sales campaigns, performance optimization strategies, and customer-centric initiatives. As a strategic thinker and transformational leader, you’ll be responsible for driving both short-term results and long-term business outcomes, positioning Emesent for sustained growth and market leadership.

Here's what we need

  • Key Responsibilities:

Transformational Sales Leadership:- Global Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a high-impact global sales strategy focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term customer relationships. Continuously refine strategies to drive performance and optimise regional outcomes.

  • Lead and Inspire Teams: Manage and mentor Regional Sales Directors across APAC, EMEA, and AMER. Cultivate a high-performance culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Executive Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and extended leadership team at Emesent to align sales objectives with corporate goals, shaping Emesent’s vision and strategic direction.

Performance Optimisation and Strategic Planning:- Data-Driven Performance Management: Utilize analytics and sales metrics to track progress, adjust strategies, and achieve global sales targets. Lead pipeline reviews, ensure accurate forecasts, and identify high-value opportunities.

  • Strategic Sales Reviews: Conduct regular performance assessments to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to keep teams on track.
  • Growth-Oriented Sales Campaigns: Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to develop impactful sales campaigns that align with business objectives and resonate with customers.

Market Development and Business Expansion:- Go-To-Market Leadership: Identify new market opportunities, refine go-to- market strategies, and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand regional and global market share.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure that your teams are focused not only on meeting sales targets but also on fostering long-term customer relationships and driving customer success.
  • Competitive Edge: Stay ahead of market trends, monitor competitor activities, and adjust strategies to maintain Emesent’s competitive advantage.

Leadership Development and Talent Strategy:- Talent Growth and Development: Lead the recruitment, mentorship, and professional development of sales leaders within your teams. Build a leadership pipeline that supports Emesent’s growth ambitions.

  • Coaching and Mentorship: Provide executive-level coaching to Regional Sales Directors, helping them develop their leadership skills and drive team performance.
  • Performance Culture: Establish and maintain a performance-driven culture with clear expectations, regular performance reviews, and targeted development plans.

Innovation and Operational Excellence:- Sales Innovation: Drive the adoption of innovative sales tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.

  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee the optimisation of sales processes, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and best practices are followed to streamline workflows.
  • Sales Tools & CRM Optimisation: Ensure regional teams are leveraging CRM and partner management systems and sales technologies to maintain strong customer relationships and track performance.

Strategic Reporting and Executive Communication:- KPI Management and Reporting: Monitor and assess sales performance against KPIs. Provide data-driven reports to the executive team on progress, challenges, and growth opportunities.

  • Strategic Insights: Communicate key insights and recommendations from regional markets to inform broader company strategy and support business objectives.

How you'll succeed:

  • Industry & Domain Expertise: Extensive experience in industries such as Mining, AEC, Surveying, or Geospatial sectors, with a deep understanding
  • Sales Leadership: Proven track record of leading global sales teams to exceed targets and drive sustainable growth across diverse markets. Demonstrated success in managing large, geographically distributed teams and executing large-scale sales strategies.
  • Experience leading and crafting both Direct and Channel led Sales GTM strategies across disperse regions and teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong experience collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience teams to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with customer needs.
  • Problem-Solving & Technical Expertise: Excellent analytical skills to identify challenges and opportunities and develop effective solutions. Strong technical acumen to understand and communicate the value of complex products and solutions to customers.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Customer-Centric Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to customers and partners, building strong relationships and driving customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to drive business objectives.
  • Adaptability & Learning: Quick to adapt to new technologies and business environments, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
