We are hiring remote workers for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City, or Minneapolis areas. At this time, only candidates in these locations will be considered.
What You’ll Do
Calm’s FP&A Team is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join our finance organization. In this role, you will play a key part in building a world-class FP&A function, collaborating with diverse teams, including go-to-market (GTM) organizations, accounting, legal, budget owners, operations, and all Calm employees.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a dedicated team player with excellent business partnering and financial modeling skills, and brings a positive, solution-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Working closely with the B2B GTM Finance Director, you will contribute significantly to financial reporting, forecasting, and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships within Calm’s GTM organizations.

- Own the financial strategy for the B2B Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives, with a focus on building and reporting analytics across sales, marketing, services, and pipeline activities. Key metrics include conversion rates, discounting, service utilization, and sales funnel performance
- Partner with sales, marketing, and services teams to develop and monitor forecasts while managing daily financial operations, including OpEx tracking, headcount, purchase orders, invoices, and ad-hoc requests
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and financial packages for sales, content, marketing, and services teams, providing insightful analysis and strategic guidance on operational decisions
- Oversee the month- and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and accruals. Collaborate with accounting to deliver comprehensive variance analyses
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within financial operations. Use tools like Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, Gainsight, Outreach, Tipalti, Marketo, and Bizible to create, refine, and update models and analytics
- Analyze and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for B2B subscription models, improving the clarity and impact of insights to drive strategic decisions. Work closely with broker/consultant partners to align on performance metrics and uncover growth opportunities within their channels
- Develop advanced financial models to evaluate complex business scenarios, ensuring precision and a high level of detail
- Streamline workflows to efficiently consolidate and analyze large, complex datasets
- Support ad hoc strategic and operational projects, demonstrating adaptability to meet evolving business needs
Who You Are
Required Skills:
Advanced Excel Proficiency:
- Expertise in advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling
- Ability to automate workflows and improve efficiency through data manipulation and visualization tools
Financial Systems Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights)
- Proficiency in working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for forecasting and revenue analysis
Data Presentation and Visualization:
- Skilled in presenting complex financial data in an easy-to-understand format using charts, dashboards, and storytelling techniques
- Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
Analytical Thinking:
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Proven capability in driving data-informed decision-making
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams
- Ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Strategic Finance Expertise:
- Deep understanding of B2B go-to-market (GTM) strategies, revenue streams, and customer acquisition costs
- Experience in building and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5-8+ years of relevant experience in financial management, with a focus on B2B or SaaS business models
- Track record of supporting GTM teams, including sales, marketing, content, and customer success
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with international business operations and currency analysis is a plus

Calm uses a geographic pay model that determines salaries based on the location where an employee lives. For this position, the base pay ranges across Calm’s pay tiers is as follows:
$125,000 - $234,000
The base pay range represents the low and high end of Calm’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
Calm uses employee zip code to determine which pay range applies.
This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.
