AIX & RHEL Administrator

We are on the lookout for a tech-savvy AIX & RHEL Administrator to join our incredible team supporting one of our clients, a leader in the Healthcare Payor industry. Responsibilities:

• Manage user accounts, groups and permissions.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime SLAs are maintained.
• Configure and manage logical partitions (LPARs) and workload partitions (WPARs).
• Manage PowerHA and PowerVM systems and have IBM LPM experience.
• Maintain and manage the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
• Plan and implement patches and updates for AIX and RHEL systems.
• RHEL patch management using Satellite.
• Utilize NIM (Network Installation Manager) for system installations and updates.
• Configure and manage disk quotas, logical volumes, and volume groups.
• Maintain LUNs mapping between SAN storage and servers.
• Experience with disk partitions, logical volumes, creation and mounting of file systems in Linux environments.
• Setup NFS and mount storage as per needs.
• Read, modify, and create shell scripts as per requirements.
• Implement and enforce security policies to maintain and protect system integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT expertise supporting and enhancing an organization's infrastructure, including its disaster recovery capabilities.
• 10+ years of experience as a RedHat Linux Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering and technical know-how in high availability (HACMP) AIX, PowerVM, and VIO system planning, design, and implementation.
• Shell scripting and automation experience.
• Patch management in RHEL and AIX environments.
• Experience managing DR environment, failover and configuration in RHEL and AIX.
• Perform security audits, vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
• Create, update, and maintain SOPs, inventory, and operations manuals for the installation, upkeep, and use of operating systems and their subsystems.
• Capable of collaborating with other system, network, and storage administrators and communicating with all stakeholders in a concise and composed manner.
• Quarterly travel will be required based on requirements.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the RHEL and AIX systems that support core organizational functions.
