What you’ll do
As an Account Executive for Startups, you will drive Stripe’s future growth engine by building relationships with prospective clients and turning them into happy Stripe users. You'll manage both inbound leads and outbound leads (as the first point of contact for many new and growing businesses interested in Stripe). You will also generate your own outbound leads. You’ll handle the full sales cycle through onboarding new users. You're an energetic and organized self-starter; you understand the sales process, can build relationships with the right decision-makers, and can succinctly define and communicate the specific benefits of Stripe appropriate for each user.
Responsibilities
- Get emerging startups & small and medium businesses on Stripe
- Build and manage a sales pipeline
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close to onboarding and activation for startups and small/medium businesses
- You need to generate your own leads through cold calling, blitzing,
research, networking, and driving your territory - You will also manage leads qualified by our inbound and outbound sales development representatives
- Make every potential Stripe user happy with every interaction,
regardless of deal size - Identify and understand users’ pain points to propose Stripe solutions

Minimum requirements
- One full year experience in solution sales field with deals closed and
onboarded successfully - Experience in sales with Startup users and/or Small and Medium businesses as well engagement in Startup community
- Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships
with highly technical customers - Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Fluency in German and English
- Open to travel and attend events
Preferred qualifications
- Strong interest and knowledge in technology, payments landscape and products
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
