About the Role:
Tubi is seeking an experienced, effective and transactionally driven executive to join our Content Acquisitions and Partnerships team to focus on all internal and external workstreams tied to Commercial Affairs of Tubi Original Content. This role will be a key leader on the Content Acquisitions and Partnerships team with primary responsibilities focused on driving cross-functional alignment for Tubi Originals, including running internal green light processes and advising on commercial deal terms, and ensuring adherence to processes and policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the domestic and/or international TV and Film space; an understanding of standard commercial terms for film, scripted and non-scripted television programming; and a keen understanding of deal making in the entertainment industry, including projects involving guilds.
This hybrid role can be based in Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, and reports to the SVP, Content Acquisitions & Partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all internal and external workstreams related to the Commercial Affairs of Tubi Original Content
- Collaborate with SVP, Content Acquisitions and Partnerships, Creative team, and Content Strategy team to help ensure Tubi meets its goals for Original and exclusive programming in an efficient and effective manner
- Collaborate with internal teams i.e. Creative, FP&A, Business & Legal Affairs, Marketing, Communications, Sales, Growth, Content Strategy and Content Distribution to solicit greenlight analysis and feedback on projects
- Lead cross-functional greenlight process to ensure clear visibility, feedback, and senior leadership alignment on Original Programming investments
- Take ownership of the legal request process, to ensure cross-functional alignment
- Act as main point of contact for Business & Legal Affairs with regard to commercial deal points during the negotiation of development, production, talent, and content licensing agreements
- Work alongside Creative and Content Strategy to ensure alignment across the overall slate of projects with regard to commercial deal points and Original programming monetization
- Ensure robust communication on project status, greenlight, launch, and performance to internal teams
- Cultivate productive and collaborative relationships with agents, managers, commercial executives and other third-party stakeholders to facilitate smooth conversations and negotiations
- Collaborate with Production and Business & Legal Affairs teams on non-creative elements, such as guild requirements, tax and/or other incentives
- Collaborate with the Ad Sales and Sponsorships, Business and Legal Affairs and Creative team regarding product placement, integrations and sponsorships in Original programming to ensure best practices and alignment
Your Background:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in programming, acquisitions, originals, distribution and/or deal making at a leading entertainment, agency or technology company
- Deep understanding of the commercial deal terms related to each phase of the Original programming life cycle, including greenlight process, development, production, delivery, launch and distribution
- Established relationships throughout the entertainment sector, specifically with agents, managers, and other entertainment executives in both scripted series, non-scripted series, film and documentaries
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of global TV and Film marketplace as well as a love of movies and television shows
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to develop creative, clear, and concise narratives for wide variety of audiences
- Exceptional ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
- Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to major content markets and as otherwise necessary
- Critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and solution-oriented attitude who can solve a wide variety of problems
- BA or BS degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

$126,300 to $180,400 / year + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits
