Retail Attendant (Part-Time)
The Retail Attendant for the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) is responsible for selling JRTC merchandise at various events held at the complex.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell JRTC merchandise at JRTC tournaments, Spring Training games, MLB events, third-party tournaments and events, and additional special events as needed.
- Set up merchandise table, point of sale equipment, display items, and bins of inventory when scheduled.
- Meticulously record sales during shifts to keep track of inventory sold.
- Take inventory of items at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Balance daily financial transactions upon completion of shift.
- Welcome guests and ensure customer satisfaction through superior customer service.
- Answer questions about facility amenities, services, points of interest, and current/upcoming JRTC events.
- Handle and resolve any potential issues with merchandise.
- Report any accidents or injuries to management staff immediately.
- Other duties as assigned by Marketing Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers and managers.
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to lift, reach, kneel and bend.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC), operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) located in Vero Beach, Florida, serves as a year-round hub for amateur development initiatives and events designed to diversify and strengthen the talent pipelines of baseball and softball. We are the permanent home to several signature youth-focused events and programs, such as the Nike RBI World Series and the Hank Aaron Invitational, which teach players how to succeed on and off the field. The historic facility, formerly known as Dodgertown, was renamed Jackie Robinson Training Complex in honor of its trailblazing namesake.
