Position Overview
As a Private Wealth Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in educating and inspiring some of the brightest minds in finance. In this role, you will:
- Serve as a lead facilitator for private wealth management classroom training sessions.
- Help financial advisors and finance professionals develop a holistic approach to managing client wealth, addressing unique financial goals, and navigating complex regulations.
- Develop your public speaking and presentation skills, grow your professional network, and establish yourself as a thought leader in private wealth management and financial planning.
The ideal candidate has professional experience in private wealth management and internal sales, coupled with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person and virtual training seminars to a variety of clients, including:
- Investment banks, private equity firms, and corporate teams.
- Undergraduate business schools and MBA programs.
- Collaborate on curriculum development, including:
- Editing and enhancing existing training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Developing new course content to meet evolving client needs.
- Mentor students and professionals through one-on-one tutoring sessions.
- Complete WSP’s Train-the-Trainer Program, a professional development program for new instructors.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of private wealth management experience, with exposure to internal sales.
- Education:
- MBA from a top business school is preferred but not required.
- Skills & Passion:
- Exceptional knowledge of private wealth management principles, financial modeling, and Excel.
- A strong desire to teach, mentor, and inspire finance professionals.
- Availability:
- Commitment to approximately 40 training days per year, with additional availability during:
- Summer months (May–September): Monday–Friday availability is highly desirable.
- Fall and Spring semesters: Weekday and weekend availability is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to conduct week-long or multi-week seminars is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
