Description
We are seeking an experienced Meta Ads (formerly Facebook Ads) specialist with strong expertise in ad tech, pixel implementation, and event tracking. Our goal is to optimize our current setup and resolve specific attribution challenges related to our multi-location franchise business, and thus we seek help with two key objectives:
- Audit and optimize existing ad implementation: Review our current Meta Ads implementation, including pixel setup, data integration, and reporting. Identify and address any errors or inefficiencies to ensure proper tracking and attribution.
- Implement custom attribution for multi-location businesses: Develop a solution to accurately track and attribute sales to the specific franchise location where a customer was exposed to our advertising. This will involve updating our website and app to capture custom events, and integrating this data with our Meta Ads reporting.
About Us
We are a franchise business with over 70 locations across the United States. Our locations sometimes operate in close proximity to one another, which has led to complexities in accurately attributing sales and ad spend for each individual location.
Project Scope
Audit and Optimization of Current Implementation
- Review our existing Meta Ads setup, including the Meta Pixel and the daily offline sales data uploads via Cronjob
- Identify and debug any errors, inefficiencies, or flaws in our current scripts, endpoints, and overall integration
- Provide recommendations and implement necessary upgrades to enhance performance and accuracy
Attribution Enhancement for Multi-Location Sales
- Develop and implement a solution to accurately attribute sales to the correct franchise location, ensuring that each location's Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) reflects only its actual revenue
- Address issues where sales are currently misattributed due to proximity of locations and overlapping ad geofencing
- Implement custom events and code on our website and app to facilitate precise tracking
- Configure Meta Events Manager to handle custom events tailored to our multi-location structure
The successful candidate will work closely with our web development team to implement the required technical changes. Upon completion of this project, there may be additional opportunities to apply a similar approach for our Google Ads implementation, so detailed knowledge of Google Ad tech platform is highly desired but not a requirement.
Qualifications
Meta Ads and Pixel Expertise
- Proven experience with Meta Ads, including pixel implementation and event tracking
- Strong understanding of offline conversion tracking and data integration via automation tools like Cronjob
Multi-Location Attribution Experience
- Familiarity with attribution challenges in businesses with multiple locations, especially franchises
- Experience in customizing tracking solutions to differentiate between closely situated locations
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in web development languages (e.g., JavaScript) for implementing custom code
- Ability to work with APIs and automate data processes
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong ability to diagnose complex tracking issues and develop effective solutions
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
Communication Skills
- Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members
- Collaborative approach to work with our internal web development team
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Google Ads and familiarity with Google's ad tech platform
- Prior work with franchise networks or businesses with similar structures
