About the Job: We are seeking a motivated Legal Privacy Intern to join our team! The successful candidate will have an important role in maintaining our global privacy compliance program, including by acting as a true business partner and assisting Product, Marketing, Human Resources, and other teams to develop internal privacy awareness and to assess and to mitigate legal risks. This role requires a love of technology, sharp privacy practices and regulations acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams. This is a great opportunity for an intern to join a strong legal team in a dynamic role and to sharpen skills and knowledge.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft and review privacy guidelines, procedures, policies, and customer documentation
- Monitor and respond to data subject requests (information, deletion, access, opt-outs)
- Support negotiations of Data Processing Agreements with our customers and vendors to ensure compliance with global privacy laws
- Support our internal stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Product, etc.) by researching and answering privacy-related questions, and by responding to customer and vendor questionnaires
- Help manage cross-functional privacy compliance related projects
- Help onboard and integrate a privacy management tool to support our privacy compliance program
Your Qualifications:
- Master 2 degree in law, specializing in privacy or new technologies; you’ll ideally have previous experience in a legal department or a law firm dealing with privacy matters
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative attitude
- Responsive and proactive, and comfort working autonomously
- Knowledge of relevant privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Love working in a fast-moving, business-oriented environment typical of high-growth companies
- Fluent in English (please submit an English CV if you have one)
- Privacy certifications (such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M, or other) are a plus
- Able to commit 6 months internship, 35 hours/week
- Able to work in Paris office 3 days/week
