Senior Mobile/Frontend Engineer

*The opportunity: *We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile/Frontend Engineer to take on a leadership role within our engineering team. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of complex mobile applications (Android and iOS). You will work closely with the leadership team, product management, and design teams to ensure that our mobile apps are secure, scalable, and delivers an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the frontend mobile development of high-impact features and applications for our crypto platform on Android and iOS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end solutions that meet business objectives and user needs.
• Adopt best practices in code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among fellow engineering peers.
• Take ownership of technical projects from inception through to production, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to mobile and frontend architectural decisions and long-term technology strategy, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our mobile apps through rigorous testing, monitoring, and proactive problem-solving.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices, particularly in the blockchain and cryptocurrency domains.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile and frontend development, with a strong background building Android and iOS applications using React Native or other cross-platform frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and Typescript with a solid understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with mobile-specific frameworks and tools, such as Swift, Kotlin, or Objective-C, for native mobile app performance tuning.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, along with an understanding of microservices architecture and backend integration.
• Demonstrated experience deploying and managing mobile applications in production, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and experience working closely with design teams to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform for mobile backend services and managing application infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of frontend security best practices, including data protection, authentication, and user privacy, especially within cryptocurrency or financial applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while balancing short-term and long-term goals.
• Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industries is highly desirable.

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with Web3 and blockchain technologies, such as Ethereum, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Experience working with crypto or fintech platforms, especially on security-sensitive mobile applications.
• Proficiency in backend development languages such as Node.js and Go.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices in mobile development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Working from Eastern or Pacific time zones (EST/PST)
