Full Stack Engineer

To make this happen, we're seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in software engineering and a deep understanding of artificial intelligence (AI). You’ll develop and maintain Sweep’s back-end services and front-end applications, leveraging location-based interactions, advanced sensors, and Augmented Reality to detect, visualize, and mitigate cyber threats in real-time. This work is like building a revolutionary personal assistant—with all the technical challenges that entails—but this assistant must also understand the places people visit, anticipate threats, and provide real-time protection.

You’ll join our atomic team, backed by leading VCs such as Inspired Capital, Argon, Homebrew, and New North Ventures, at this exciting early stage, contributing to groundbreaking solutions that redefine cybersecurity for people on the move, ensuring their focus remains on their human experience without worrying about cyber threats.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with founders and engineers: Build and own products while driving the product roadmap, ensuring seamless collaboration with frontend and backend engineers.
• Transform Ideas into Reality: Develop iOS applications using Swift, ARKit, and UIKit, ensuring real-time performance and user-friendly interfaces.
• Architect Excellence: Implement patterns like MVC, MVVM, and VIPER to ensure scalable, maintainable code across the product life cycle.
• Design Complex Services: Architect scalable, high-performance services for intricate workflows and large data volumes. Ensure robustness, modularity, and seamless integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements, optimize resource efficiency, and support scalability and fault tolerance
• Lead Feature Development: Utilize AI agents, large language models (LLMs), and cutting-edge technologies to push the boundaries of cybersecurity, enhancing threat detection, response automation, and predictive analytics.
• Optimize Code Collaboration: Manage GitHub workflows and lead code integration to maintain high-quality engineering practices.
• Implement Testing and DevOps: Develop testing frameworks using XCTest and ensure smooth, continuous deployment pipelines.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• iOS Development Expertise: Mastery in Swift and Objective-C with deep knowledge of Human Interface Guidelines, memory management, and caching.
• Cloud Experience: Proven expertise with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP for building, deploying, and managing secure applications. Skilled in cloud-native tools for infrastructure automation, data processing, and security, with a strong focus on performance and cost efficiency.
• Autonomy & Startup Mindset: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to take ownership, show resilience, and deliver results independently. Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, building and maintaining production systems at scale. ## Nice-to-Haves
• AR and Location-Based Services: Experience with ARKit and location-based mobile solutions.
• IoT Expertise: Familiarity with BLE, WiFi, and other spatial computing technologies.
• AI Expertise: Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with hands-on experience in deploying and fine-tuning popular large language models (LLMs) to solve complex, real-world problems.
• Code Quality Tools: Experience using SonarQube or similar tools for code quality and coverage.
• Bonus Points
• AI & Cybersecurity Passion: Interest in the future of the open internet and the implications of the AI arms race on democracy.
• Performance Optimization: Expertise in highly performant software development and ML model scaling.

Compensation

We offer a total compensation package including a base salary from $105,000 to $165,000 annually, plus stock options and other benefits.

Typical Interview Process

Introductions: Initial screening call to learn more about each other and discuss Sweep and the role. You’ll know where you stand at the end of the call.
Hiring Manager Interview: Interview with the hiring manager or a senior team member, including technical assessments.
Team Interviews: Technical interviews and deep-dives with team members, which may include a take-home challenge, presentation, or problem-solving exercise.
Final Stages: Reference checks, and a job offer conversation.
Additional Conversations (optional): You may request additional conversations with team members you wish to meet but didn’t during the process.
