Founding UI/UX Designer ( With Shopify Experience )

Job Description:
We are seeking a creative, user-centered UI/UX Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week). The ideal candidate will excel in both user interface design and user experience research, bringing our digital products to life with visually compelling and easy-to-navigate designs. You will work closely with our product, development, and marketing teams to create seamless, user-friendly experiences. Note: This role is currently equity-based, with the potential for salary compensation upon successful funding.

Responsibilities:

Design intuitive, engaging, and accessible user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
Conduct user research, create personas, and define user journeys.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with our brand and product goals.
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Perform usability testing and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
Stay updated on design trends, best practices, and new technologies.
Requirements:

2+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design, with a commitment of 20-25 hours per week.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and usability best practices.
Portfolio showcasing design projects and demonstrating problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with Shopify and e-commerce platforms.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks.
Experience with motion graphics or basic animation.
Knowledge of A/B testing and data analytics tools for UX.
Compensation:
This position is equity-based only until we secure funding. Once funding is achieved, there will be an opportunity for a salaried role.
