Elastio, a leader in ransomware detection and recovery solutions, is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Engineering to drive innovation and excellence in our critical security platform. As a key member of our executive team, you will lead our engineering organization in revolutionizing ransomware protection and data recoverability.

The Opportunity

As VP of Engineering at Elastio, you will:

• Spearhead the technical vision and strategy for our cutting-edge ransomware detection and recovery platform
• Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team in a fast-paced, innovative environment
• Collaborate with C-level executives to align engineering efforts with company goals and product vision
• Drive architectural decisions that ensure scalability, security, and performance of our SaaS platform
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership for our engineering organization, overseeing multiple teams including front-end, back-end, DevOps, and security specialists
• Drive the development of advanced AI/ML capabilities for ransomware detection and mitigation
• Ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality features and products in an Agile environment
• Manage and mentor senior engineering leaders, including development leads
• Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and strategic hiring for the engineering department
• Collaborate closely with product management and customers to deliver solutions that reduce risks associated with ransomware attacks
• Stay at the forefront of cybersecurity trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, distributed engineering teams in a high-growth environment
• Deep technical expertise in full-stack development, including:
• Front-end: React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks
• Back-end: Rust, Node.js, or similar languages for building scalable systems
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience building secure, resilient systems

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in the cybersecurity or data protection industry
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in security solutions
• Track record of successful product launches and scaling SaaS platforms
• Experience with Agile methodologies and leading remote/hybrid teams
