Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager who will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our customers, project managers, customer success teams, and our data engineering team. The successful candidate will focus on synthesizing requirements related to data ingestion and export, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Engage with end customers to understand their needs and requirements for data management.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with project managers and customer success teams to gather and document detailed customer onboarding requirements from a data perspective, including any custom integration required or development of ETL scripts to automated data ingestion/export.
- Coordination:Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and implemented effectively, making sure custom ETL scripts developed for one customer can be reused in future projects.
- Product Strategy: Productize the entire data engineering pipelines to avoid customizations when onboarding new customers.
- Project Management: Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback and data to drive product improvements and innovations.
- Reduce Cost: Enable more projects to be delivered per data engineer through automation and Gen AI.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical environment.
- Technical Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, and/or data science.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data ingestion and export processes, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading product initiatives that automated tasks and saved time of either business teams or engineering or both.
