OPPORTUNITY
As a strategic leader, the Regional Training Specialist will be responsible to develop, and maintain a training program for employees at each facility within their region. The Regional Training Specialist will provide our employees with the resources necessary to enhance their respective skillsets with the overall goal of developing safer, more efficient, effective, and engaged team members. The Regional training manager will seek to drive consistency in training programs across the organization and the site programs they manage.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLIITES
- Enhance training by creating a sustainable training curriculum that includes culture and compliance-oriented content, broader leadership development and skills-based content for sustainability and effectiveness through resource fluctuations.
- Implement various training methods and techniques based on the needs of the organization, including coaching, job-shadowing, mentoring, classroom, and online learning.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all department leaders to understand the learning needs of their teams and determine where development programs are needed.
- Reviews existing training programs, suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of Hydrite.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs to determine the training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Maintain training library of job training protocols and toolbox talks in SharePoint.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes, compliance needs or industry developments that training could improve.
- Perform training gap analysis and coordinate efforts to close identified gaps.
- Coordinates and conducts required and recommended training sessions at facilities within region.
- Expected travel for this position is 10 weeks with the potential to increase up to 20 weeks per year.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
- Develop metrics / leading indicators and distribute information to appropriate branch and corporate management teams.
- Ensure employee training records and certifications records are maintained with systems in place for supervisors/managers to access records efficiently.
- Coordinate monthly training update meetings with all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop recognition program for course completion and individual accomplishments.
- Assists in the preparation of annual training budgets.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget
- Coordinate effective use of State Training grant reimbursement program for applicable sites. Complete and submit grant applications as needed.
- Maintain membership of branch Emergency Response Team and coordinate training and applicable drills.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Training Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large group meetings.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with gathering, editing, and publishing videos
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years manufacturing and planning experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel.
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain seated for up to two hours at a time, ability to stand for an extended period, ability to climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have the ability to pass all pre-employment testing including, but not limited to, background check, MVR, and drug screening.
