Live2D Animator

Note: Our Company utilises Generative AI (e.g. MidJourney, Stable Diffusion) as part of the workflow. However we also require our candidates in animation-related job roles to have excellent skills in both hand-drawn and non-AI digital art.

Salary: £25000 to £32000 per year depending on qualifications and experience + approximately £3500 per year personal allowance

Job Responsibilities:

Split Live2D character artwork as needed and demonstrate skills in image retouching;
Proficient in using Live2D software to create 2D skeletal animations. This includes animating idle and complex movements based on layered illustrations/cards, creating in-game animations, promotional animations, and character animations. Ensure character movements follow real-world physics and expressions are lively and dynamic;
Create and optimize Live2D animations according to project requirements;
Possess a strong understanding of the physics of motion and demonstrate creativity in animation design;
Ability to modify and adjust character artwork, including bone rigging and detailed editing;
Use Live2D to create 2D models for Live2D animations;
Create expressions, movements, and physical effects such as accessories and hair dynamics based on project needs.
Job Requirements:

Experience working in an animation or gaming company, with proficiency in using Live2D and drawing software;
Familiarity with the production, rigging, animation creation, and export process of complex Live2D components;
Strong hand-drawing skills, excellent understanding of animation principles, and the ability to create fluid motion;
Passion for the anime style (二次元) and experience playing mainstream anime-style mobile games;
Strong sense of responsibility and excellent teamwork and communication skills.

(Note: Candidates with a background in animation but without Live2D experience, who are passionate about anime, will be offered learning opportunities. Multiple assessments will be conducted during the internshipperiod, and successful candidates will be eligible for permanent positions.)
