Golang Engineer

pubGENIUS is a software consulting powerhouse working with multiple clients from various industries and we are looking for a skilled Golang Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance, API-first products. In this role, you will manage large-scale projects, ensuring rigorous testing and smooth integration with database systems. If you have a strong background in backend development, especially with Golang, and expertise in modern infrastructure and CI/CD practices, we’d like to hear from you.

Contract type: Freelancer (Contractor) with approximately 25 hours per week of engagement.

• Design, code and provide architectural direction for applications following client’s specifications using the appropriate tools.
• Build and maintain an API-first product with a strong emphasis on backend reliability and efficiency.
• Provides direction in maintaining and modifying existing applications.
• Implementing best practices for testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering/ or anything specific that you prefer
• At least 3-5+ years of experience working with the Go programming language
• Knowledge of various Go frameworks and tools;
• Extensive experience with testing and organizing large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with database integrations, especially MongoDB; familiarity with PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in building API-first products with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with infrastructure, particularly CI/CD pipelines, would be a advantage
• Strong written and oral skills
• Strong written and communication skills with proven fluency in English
