About the job
About Us
Meld is focused on building infrastructure for financial technology. We are a well-funded, early-stage company started by operators from Block (Square) and Paypal. We are looking for a core team to help us build a bold new vision for access to fintech services. We are looking for passionate technologists from diverse backgrounds that deliver by closely communicating & collaborating with others. This position is fully remote.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with 2-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing environments and be comfortable with basic scripting languages, particularly Python. A Computer Science degree is a plus but not a requirement. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our products by identifying, documenting, and helping resolve any issues before and after release.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual testing to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products.
Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and test scripts for both manual and automated tests.
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through their lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with development, product, and support teams to understand requirements and ensure smooth product releases.
Write and execute automated test scripts using basic scripting languages, with a focus on Python.
Analyze test results, identify patterns, and provide detailed reports to assist in improving product quality.
Participate in planning meetings and provide feedback on test coverage and potential risks.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in QA testing (manual and automated).
Basic scripting skills, with Python preferred.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, PyTest, etc.) as well as continuous integration tools (CircleCi, Jenkins) is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
[Optional but preferred] Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary and benefits package.
Opportunities for professional development and growth.
A supportive and dynamic work environment focused on quality and innovation.
Benefits and perks
Despite being an early-stage company, we’re excited to offer comprehensive and competitive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) for pre-tax retirement savings. Our salary and equity package is competitive: we want to attract the best folks!
We are remote-friendly, and encourage people within the US to join us from where they want to live. We trust our team members to work productively and responsibly from wherever they are based. We have a high trust PTO policy: team members should take as much time as they need to rest and recharge. We only request proper planning and communication with colleagues and team members.
While we have an office in the SF Bay Area, we’ve also developed some creative ways to be a remote team that has fun together! It’s important to us that our culture is remote-friendly and inclusive from day one.
