Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-performing engineer with ambition, focus, and experience building innovative products. As a key member of the early team, you will be responsible for helping inform and execute the technical vision, driving the development process, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products. Our team possesses solid experience building AI-enabled products, but is in need of a specialist to lead the effort towards a more agentic product offering.
You'll have the opportunity to lead the effort to take a more agentic approach for building a software solution to address a key problem that is significantly impacting society.
This role requires a background in data science, applied machine learning, cloud-native applications, and a deep understanding of NLP, LLM's, and RAG along with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

High-Performance & Pace: Joining a team of 4 highly motivated and productive engineers in the development of post-launch beta.
AI Leadership: Drawing upon previous experience studying/building AI-enabled products to lead focus on building out an agential offering.
Product Management: Work closely with the founding team to define product requirements, iterate roadmaps, and prioritize features based on user feedback and market trends.
Implementation: Develop and implement core components of the product, including natural language processing, machine learning models, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and web scraping mechanisms.
Quality Assurance: Establish best practices for code quality, automated/manual testing, and deployment to ensure a robust and scalable product.

Qualifications:

  • Current stack is React, FastAPI, Python, Postgres/SupaBase, hosted on GCP.
  • Minimum of 3 years of profesisonal experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or similar, and experience with relevant frameworks and libraries (e.g.,LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
    • Experience with web scraping, data extraction, establishing datapipelines, and integration of data from various online sources.
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and its applications in search and information retrieval.
  • Experience with or knowledge of DevOps/MLops architacture design
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and technology.
